Patriot
Includes but is not limited to a person who serves and contributes to the positive well-being of their country. A person who vigorously supports their country and is prepared to defend it against enemies or detractors. Patriots, also known as Revolutionaries, Continentals, Rebels, or American Whigs, were the colonists of the Thirteen Colonies who rejected British rule during the American Revolution and declared the United States of America an independent nation in July 1776. Additionally, persons who protect freedom as witnessed by participation in wars involving the United States of America in the 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, and ensuing centuries.
Black American
A person who openly identifies as a descendant of American chattel slavery or whose heritage and life are deeply rooted in experiences that advocate and represent the foundational values of Faith, Family, Community, and love for Country as the cornerstones of civic engagement in support of American prosperity.
For Black Americans, core values are the foundation of our lives. All who acknowledge and correspond with our values are welcomed under this tent. We believe our values are the baseline for American Exceptionalism. For us, Black American is principally an ethnicity. It is a sub-culture of the human race and our shared American nationality.
